Most of these devices fulfill the IP 54 durability standard (resistant toward spraying water, dust, repeated fall on ground from a height of 1.2 meters) or other similar standard. These devices are suitable especially for industrial environments, where heavy duty is expected in a challenging work environment (ware houses, factories, cement mills, trucks, etc.) For example: Symbol PDT series, Fujitsu TeamPad Series, Casio IT series, and others.
